Last week we hosted our first FST 3 Minute Thesis Competition. This contest challenges graduate students to explain their theses in 3 minutes using a one-slide presentation. The winners will go on to compete in the CAES 3MT Competition in the fall. Congratulations to our winners!

We had a great time celebrating our students' achievements at our Student Awards Ceremony last Friday! Dr. Jasdeep Saini from WTI Inc. also gave a great presentation on her experience in the food industry, thanks to everyone for attending and celebrating with us!

Commencement week is here, which means it's almost time to say goodbye to our graduating students 😢! First up is Kayode Taiwo, graduating with his Master's. After graduating, Kayode plans to pursue his Ph.D. in Food Science here with our department! 🎓

Our next spring grad 🎓 is Kyla Nocilla, who is graduating with her bachelor's in food science and technology with a minor in Microbiology. After graduating, Kyla is going to be right back here in the fall starting her Master's degree!

Reid Robertson is next, graduating with his Bachelor's in Food Science and Technology. Reid is moving to Arizona to be a product development technician with Precision Science after he graduates! 🎓

Adetokunbo Ojo is graduating with his Bachelor's Degree in Food Science this week 🎓! After graduating, he is starting a new job at Kerry, Inc. in Quality Control Leadership Development!

Tonight is undergraduate commencement, and we have one more graduate to highlight! Elizabeth Ward is graduating with her Bachelor's degree in Food Science, and after studying abroad this summer, she is going to start her Master's degree with our program in the fall!

We visited 3rd graders from Horizons Atlanta at the University of Georgia last week and had a blast! Horizons Atlanta at the University of Georgia is a six-week summer learning experience that supports students from underserved communities throughout their K–12 academic careers.
