It was lovely hanging out with Dr. Bikram Gill (retired distinguished Professor K-State) at #IWC2024Perth. He had a stellar, impressive career in wheat & many current wheat scientists/profs in the USA were trained by him. I boast that he hails from a village in Moga & so do I.

A great tour of PBI Cobbitty, University of Sydney University of Sydney with Drs. Karanjeet Sandhu & Davinder Singh and Matthew Williams. An impressive and crucial infrastructure for cereal rusts research. I haven’t seen such an impressive infrastructure for rust research anywhere in US/Canada.

Please share it widely with cereal researchers. If you are a post-doc working on any aspect of cereal rusts or mildews, don’t miss an opportunity to apply for these awards (valued >$2000). One of these awards is exclusively for candidates from the developing countries.
