Agree. My point was players now days think transferring is the answer when things get hard or you don’t have immediate success. I think putting in the work to get better, learn how to compete, not leaving when things don’t go your way makes people more successful long term.

I know NIL times are different but Walls pitching in very pitcher friendly park with inside track to be Friday guy is the better long term solution than taking more money in P4 where anything can happen. I felt Ethan Thomas also had a chance to close next year or start.

Good point that was brought to my attention. All the guys entering are mainland recruits. I think Rich has accomplished enough so far that he doesn’t need to promote and praise local players so hard publicly. Every player is representing Hawaii once uniform is on.

UH Sports (@uhsports808) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I know Rich means well but i think more people notice this than he realizes when he’s shouting out Elijah, Jordan, and Matt that there’s dudes who aren’t local on the team that represent this team unbelievably that want to be talked about in the same light. Just my suggestion.

I understand that but with the sport growing, there had to be someone looking for the best deal prior to 2024 contract. I’m fine with ESPN having rights but they should be televising more games across all networks IMO. No offense to softball but I bet baseball audience wins.

I literally just acknowledged the 2024 contract and said prior to it in the tweet you are replying to. I know it’s a 8 year deal and baseball likely will be carrying the other sports that not many will watch.

I don’t think he gets drafted and the most disappointing part of his career is we tried so hard making him a 2 way guy that he ended up not being average at both positions instead of thriving at 1. Fun player. Only 1 Shohei though.

Hawaii has a big time power bat coming in next season. Evan Rolbiecki going to add much needed power to the lineup. Much needed for a team who struggled at times vs Lefty arms.

Hawaii WR Room looks like one of the very best in the group of 5. Pofele Ashlock and Nick Cenacle have no business in the group of 5. They're elite. Add speed demons Brandon White (Kentucky) and Jackson Harris (Stanford) from the transfer portal and that's a solid room. What

Excellent reporting here. Fans, players always appreciate full transparency and honesty/accountability is always the best way to move forward. Lot of programs wouldn’t want to be so open about these things. Good on the team.

I have no idea if this AD hire is gonna work out but I don’t need to hear the fluff about why this was a excellent choice when I’ve already seen for the past 30+ years who has final say and who pulls the strings 90% of the time. State better support him šŸ’Æ or just a repeat.

UH Sports (@uhsports808) 's Twitter Profile Photo

AD has to answer to the president, who has to answer to the BOR, who gets appointed by the governor, where senate committee needs to approve of the members. Just a headache. Will the actual leaders let him lead or just be ā€œthe fall guy.ā€??

This is good for baseball IMO. The partial scholarships were always BS. Now schools can offer all players full scholarships.

Speedy athlete staying home to play for the good guys. I can see Jahren being the next great free safety at UH and letting him play centerfield and using that speed to make plays on balls.
