We annotated 18 chromatin states in 66 fetal mouse epigenomes with ENCODE data from 10 assays. Bivalent regions enriched for transcription factors are essential for silencing lineage-specific genes. Arjan van der Velde, Ph.D. Kaili Fan Jill Moore Zlab@UMassMed rdcu.be/cfCRn

New Zlab@UMassMed preprint on annotating TSSs active in 100+ cell and tissue types using ENCODE Project RAMPAGE data.

We performed a comprehensive analysis on ~9000 promoters that have open chromatin in most cell types in human and mouse. They belong to cell-essential genes and show distinct regulatory mechanisms. Kaili Fan Jill Moore Xiao-Ou Zhang Zlab@UMassMed @NAR_open doi.org/10.1093/nar/gkā¦

Glad to be part of this work on optical mapping of human DNA replication led by Nick Rhind! Our results support the stochastic model of eukaryotic replication. Zlab@UMassMed sciencedirect.com/science/articlā¦

The fly THO complex silences transposons by promoting piRNA synthesis. Our new work with Bill Theurkauf in Mol. Cell. shows THO can silence a subset of transposons directly without reducing piRNAs. authors.elsevier.com/c/1dnEZ5Sx5gmJ⦠GEN ZHANG Zlab@UMassMed Tianxiong (Bear) Yu Developmental Cell

Excited that we will be co-leading the DAC with Zhiping Weng (fearless leader) Jill Moore & William Stafford Noble for the new Multiomics for heath and disease consortium. nih.gov/news-events/neā¦

Mathieu Lupien Zhiping Weng Jill Moore William Stafford Noble If you could point me to some papers that highlight the differences between the different types of sample prep that would be great. I am collating as much information as possible to enable sound decisions at the early stages. Any feedback is appreciated.
