Good Morning from Fergana! Our UN team has just arrived in Fergana city to review the progress of UN supported programmes in Fergana region, engage with local communities, and explore how we can better align our work with regional priorities.

In Fergana we are visiting the Youth Media Hub. Since 2021, with support from UNODC in Central Asia and UNDP Uzbekistan 🇺🇿 , the Hub has trained over 400 youth in media literacy, journalism, video production, and photography — helping to amplify young voices.

This Media Hub, established in 2021 as a joint UN in Uzbekistan initiative with support from United Nations Peacebuilding, is a testament to the sustainability of our efforts in the region. Empowering youth for a safer future!

Grateful to Mirzohid Ubaydullaev, the 1st Deputy Khokim of the #Fergana region, for welcoming our UN team! We had a productive exchange of views regarding the Fergana region's development priorities and explored ways in which the UN can complement these initiatives.
