How precisely can optical imagery detect #water ponding dates on #rice fields? That's the subject of our latest paper: doi.org/10.1016/j.agwa… Av errors 4.3 days (Planet Fusion), 4.9 days (Sentinel-2) using logistic regression classification.

In a recent field trip to Leeton, PhD student Sunil Jha visited our rice project collaborators from @nswdpi. Sunil had the chance to learn rice panicle initiation and nitrogen sampling techniques, contributing valuable insights for optimising fertilizer input and irrigation.
