Pass the Torch rally happening tomorrow at 3pm at the White House. This is the kind of thing where bodies showing up matters — the media is going to be watching this. partiful.com/e/bc2kojhZEceR…

Didn't like the way this @JDVance1 bloke (newly picked as #Trump's running mate) slagged off the UK lately. Looked into him. Not great. Made a parody song inspired by @ABBA called "Vance VP" šŸŽ¶ Shout out #americast (sarah smith/Anthony Zurcher) & The Rest Is Politics for ā„¹ļø profiles šŸ‘

Slow news week, so this seems like a good time to announce that Two Psychologists Four Beers is coming back! First new episode (with Michael Inzlicht) coming out August 31, with monthly releases thereafter.

I would imagine that if you are good enough with data science that you can fake electoral data undetectably, you left Venezuela a few years ago.

Any useful resources on how to critically read a science paper? Something spicy/unconventional, like red flags to spot, "scratch and sniff" tests (eg statcheck), peer review sites (eg pubpeer), hot spots to read first (eg CoIs/tables/methods/clinicaltrials.gov), etc.

My piece in The Atlantic today: Break Up Big Econ The economics profession has become insular and status-obsessed, and not focused enough on making a positive impact on the world. theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/…

I have a colada post coming up on the interpretability of D+ and D- in the KS test. Seems nobody thinks of those values as particularly useful but they are. Any exceptions I should be aware of? Has anyone proposed they are interesting estimators on their own?
