I toured UTOPIA Washington’s newly renovated Mapu Maia Clinic yesterday and learned more about their health and gender affirming care services. Thanks to investments from the FY23 government funding package, UTOPIA will receive $500K to expand substance use and mental health services.
Food insecurity is higher among LGBTQIA+ individuals in King County. AHA Washington developed and trained UTOPIA Washington on a protocol to screen community members for food insecurity and provide referrals to sustainable assistance beyond UTOPIA’s on-site food pantry. #WAHasHeart
