Almost 9 years ago I went on a research cruise during the first month of my PhD. We found this toxic waste dump site off the coast of California. The bacteria from the sample have a mechanism that’s commonly overlooked in ‘omics studies… and may have a role in human health!

My professors BHCC Boston helped me so much as I was just starting out in science. It is an honor to be invited to present, and I’m very excited for this event!
