The Ken Clark, PhD contact length ratio education is very useful if you know how to interpret the data. My main issue is the ability to drill down, as it's very labor-intensive and subject to seasonal changes and differences in practice versus meets. Only use validated data!

Why do endurance athletes need low-intensity training? Elite runners, cyclists, and triathletes—the fastest athletes out there—spend SO much time training slow. A recent perspective article explores seven hypotheses why. 🧵

This one indicates that introducing short breaks that allow for partial recovery during each bout of a sprint interval exercise session elicits simultaneously greater physiologic and mechanical responses overall.

The 10x1 method involves performing 10 single reps at 80-90% of your 1RM (one-rep max) with auto-regulated rest periods and load adjustments. You rest just enough to maintain form and power (typically 60 - 120 seconds) and adjust weight based on feel to avoid failure. Why it

Very interesting review by Anthony Blazevich et al on the current evidence about sarcomerogenesis and its application to ecologically valid exercise protocols. Still much we don't know and reason to be cautious when drawing conclusions on the topic 💪 sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Basic boxplots are often not the best way to visualize your data! They can hide important information, such as the distribution of individual data points or group-specific differences. However, with a few enhancements, boxplots can become powerful tools for uncovering insights
