Clerk Dolores “Lola” Holmes began her journey with Val Verde USD in 2010 as a Supervision Aide. Over the years, she’s worked in various roles, including a walk-on at Rancho Verde High. We’re excited to collaborate with her as the newest Board Member! 👏 #VVUSD #CommunityLeader

Board Member Aquino’s journey with Val Verde began in 2004 as a 6th grader at Tomas Rivera Middle School. After graduating from Citrus Hill High in 2011, he was elected to our Board in 2022. We’re grateful for his leadership and excited for his continued impact! 👏 #VVUSD

We’re proud to highlight Board Member Zamora’s incredible journey with VVUSD! A Rancho Verde High School graduate, she returned in 2000 as an instructional aide, impacting our community for 15 years. After joining Alvord USD, she was elected to our Board in 2022! 👏 #VVUSD

Students had a blast sampling dishes from 13 different food vendors! They voted for their favorites to help shape next school year’s lunch menu. A big thank you to our amazing food services team for making this delicious event possibly! 🍽️🌯😋💙👏

🎶 A Moment of Honor & Music!🎶 On January 30, 2025, U.S. Congressman Mark Takano visited the renowned Rancho Verde High School Band, joined by Moreno Valley Mayor Ulises Cabrera, Perris Mayor Michael Vargas, and Tournament of Roses Executive At-Large Member Raphael Sanchez III!

Last week, these middle schoolers got a delicious opportunity to shape next year’s lunch menu! They taste-tested and voted on over 15 dishes from various vendors, helping decide what will be served in the cafeteria. A fun and flavorful way to have their voices heard! 🍽️🍕🍔😋🌮🎉

Our Student Food Show at Avalon Elementary and March Middle School was featured in California School Nutrition Magazine! This recognition is a testament to the amazing teamwork and passion that went into creating a fun, interactive, and delicious experience for our students!

At last night’s board meeting, we proudly recognized instructional aide Ms. Eva Pat Carrillo for her heroic actions in saving a Bridges to Adulthood student who was choking. Thank you, Ms. Carrillo, for being a true lifesaver and role model in our community! 🎉
