Happy to share our collaborative preprint with Albert Giralt (Giralt lab) and Ruediger Klein. We show that Yamanaka factors induction expand the cortex and enhance cognitive skills. Moreover, their induction protect against neurodegeneration in a mouse model of AD. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Huge breakthrough! First ever in the history of the Universe 🏆🏆🏆 The magnificent Dodo bird is resurrected! The New York Times where are you? #DeExtinction Figure 1:

Excited to announce a major medical milestone today with Mass General Surgery, as we announced the first ever transplantation of a genetically engineered porcine kidney into a living human recipient. 🧬🧬 Read our release: shorturl.at/kEGTV

🧬🔬 How can we address the bystander challenge in base editing? Happy to share my first paper from the george church lab! Discover how we're making on-demand genome editing a reality with ultra-precise base editing enzymes coupled with our agRNAs. 🚀🧵👇 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Extremely happy to see our story out in Molecular Cell! doi.org/10.1016/j.molc… We show how Ki-67 & pre-rRNA phase separate, gluing mitotic #chromosomes together! 🧼🧬🧲 @EMBL EMBL Heidelberg Uni Heidelberg ISTAustria Cuylen Lab Andela Saric @EllenbergLab

Excited about george church lab's latest paper at EMBO Reports, where I collaborated with mpsmela to combine super-SOX naïve reset with his new set of factors to improve production of human oogonia - advancing towards iPSC-derived in vitro egg generation 🥚👶

Thank you Danielle Gerhard for the great feature on Oct4 and super-SOX in The Scientist covering both our Cell Stem Cell papers! the-scientist.com/pluripotency-s…

🚀 Oct4 reinvented! 🧬 The Scientist highlights groundbreaking research of Hans Schöler and Sergiy Velychko Sergiy Velychko on #Oct4 and #SuperSox - pushing the boundaries of cell reprogramming & unlocking new possibilities in reprod. & regen. medicine! 🔗the-scientist.com/pluripotency-s…

Introducing DolphinGemma, an LLM fine-tuned on many years of dolphin sound data 🐬 to help advance scientific discovery. We collaborated with Wild Dolphin Project to train a model that learns vocal patterns to predict what sound they might make next. It’s small enough (~400M params)
