Actually, Americans voted for lower prices after years of inflation. Tariffs jack up prices further—as the President understands based on his demand that Walmart shoulders the cost of the tariffs rather that hike prices. So that’s the opposite of what they voted for.

This would be a disaster. Good intentions don’t matter—outcomes do. Places that tried rent freezes saw construction stall, supply dry up, and prices spike long-term. The very people this is meant to help get hurt the most. Desist.

Trump just called Leonard Leo—the Federalist Society kingmaker and architect of the conservative legal movement—a “scumbag” who probably hates America. The conservative movement sold its soul to a man who’s now tearing it down.

While reading this, it warrants mention that the only Trump-appointee involved in the USCIT decision was Timothy Reif. Except Reif was *not* a Federalist Society nominee. He was a staffer of Robert Lighthizer, Trump's arch-protectionist tariff guru from the 1st term.

This is a very important reminder from Veronique de Rugy ! ➕ all the "why do the courts hate democracy" people defending an unconstrained executive branch might want to consider that support for tariffs is a minority view based on just about every poll out there. LOOK IN A MIRROR!
