Claire Moore, Equality and Social Affairs Officer Irish Congress (ICTU): “We reject the hateful rhetoric of the far right, and we stand against misogyny. We will defend the rights of women across the world to have equal, fair, decent and safe lives.”

Renate Wapenhensch from IG BAU (Germany) : “Current studies show that women in part-time positions work just as effectively as their full-time colleagues. Yes, but women are still underrepresented in management positions.”

FGTA-FO .veronica fm, Head of Equal Opportunities UNI Global Union: “Mental health is a fundamental right and should be included in occupational health and safety as mental well-being is just as vital as physical safety in the workplace.”

Halla Gunnarsdóttir from VR (Iceland): “In Iceland, we certainly are witnessing timely revolution of women's representation. Women have been elected to hold most key offices in the country, even the Bishop, and most recently, the leader of Iceland's largest union: me.”

Carol Scheffer, who was re-elected in her role as President of UNI Europa Women’s Committee, wrapped up the day: “Sisters, stand strong. Stand proud. Stand together for collective women’s voices, and together we will succeed.”
