Would love to be there in person but at 36 weeks pregnant it's virtual #SOA23 for me. Some truly inspiring talks from all MDT members. Thank you. SLTsinCC Intensive Care Society 💙

OT is such a crucial element of critical care rehab. We love our OTs Martin Torres Christa Latham. Thank you Sarah Dzumbira for sharing your evidence on unmet need. 15 patients per month referred vs 53 patients who require input. Good luck in continuing to develop your service.

Great talk from Rebekah Haylett demonstrating the value of physio and early mobilisation in critical care. MMS score on ICU discharge was independently associated with discharge to usual residence. @AshYouLikeIt Laura Swinscoe #SOA23

I knew rates of PTSD were high post critical care particularly following the pandemic but the results from PIM-COVID study (in press) are eye opening. Truly highlights the need for more psychologists in critical care and better follow up. #SOA23

Learning lots #SOA23 Intensive Care Society 💙. Really enjoyed the talk by Fiona Kelly on ICU airway mx and how video laryngoscopy vs. direct laryngoscopy leads to better intubation success. Also interesting to note that Propofol worsens cardiovascular instability and intubation outcomes.
