We analyzed 24,921 lung transplants (2002–2022) and found that high pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR ≥6 WU) is a significant risk factor.

Among 2,755 patients with high PVR: •    Transplants are increasing •    More ECMO/CPB used •    Mortality is higher

What changes the game? High-volume centers (>33 transplants/year) had significantly better outcomes. ➡️ Experience matters.
