Check out our latest Review Trends in Chemistry “π–π stacked supramolecular dimers in molecular electronics” Investigating π–π dimers will deepen our understanding of noncovalent interactions and establish new frameworks in nanoelectronics.
Our latest J. Am. Chem. Soc. paper is out! A 2.6 nm metal–organic pillar tubular host that shows anion-dependent chiral self-sorting and selectively recognizes long-chain “bad” saturated fatty acids over “healthy” polyunsaturated ones like DHA. 🔗 pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.102…
Sulfate Recognition in Water via Charge‐Assisted Hydrogen Bonding - Mariscal - My first paper has been published! Thanks to my lab mates and PI for all the support! Check out Wenqi Vince Liu for more. …mistry-europe.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.10…
#ISMSC2025 favorite anions, in order are BArF, PF6 and BF4. Least favorite is Cl. Favorite write-in was hydride — thanks to Yun Liu 刘允 at PKU for the photo
In collaboration with Hongliang Chen, we reported PDI molecular wires encapsulated by XCage, which effectively insulates the molecular wire, suppressing charge disturbance and shielding radiation, making it an electronic molecular Faraday cage. bit.ly/4jnOkmj
In a new paper we SmithLab@ND published on a special issue of J. Org. Chem. J Org Chem/Org Lett, we discussed the relationship between imine structures and their hydrolytic rate in water. We also assessed the steric protection of imines with "clamping" complexation. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…
Excited to share that our cover artwork for J. Am. Chem. Soc. ACS Publications is online! Grateful to my team and collaborators who helped bring this to life. Check it out 👉 doi.org/10.1021/jacs.5…. #MyACSCover
I count myself very privileged to have an opportunity to present this Mini Review—which summarizes the Stoddart group’s 56-year journey of adventure and achievements in relation to cyclodextrins—in CCS Chemistry with input from Enxu LIU Changxia Shi 施昌霞 Fraser Stoddart.
Proud to share our new paper in ACS Central Science! We show that hydrogen bonding—often considered ineffective in water—can enable strong, selective binding of the hydrophilic carbohydrate glucuronate, when combined with [C–H···π] and electrostatic interactions. bit.ly/4o8oA0S
Please check out our recent J. Am. Chem. Soc. paper: when a macrocycle is too large for guest encapsulation, it can be suitable for creating discrete molecular interfaces with molecular-scale physical properties in single cocrystals. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja…
Check out our new research, now out Nature Communications : Highly conductive single-molecule junctions through electrocatalytic formation of benzyl-type Au‒C bonds! nature.com/articles/s4146…
Happy to see our work on synthetic lectins for glucuronate featured as cover art! ACS Publications #MyACSCover bit.ly/4o8oA0S
Grateful to Prof. Lei Fang Lei Fang TAMU for hosting the 3rd Stoddart Molecular & Supramolecular Science Symposium (M3S) in Ningbo—honoring the legacy of Fraser Stoddart.
