The Taste by Vir Sanghvi: What the Air India crash teaches us about empathy and responsibility. About not rushing to conclusions & blaming people who can’t defend themselves. And the sensationalism of the media at a time of national mourning hindustantimes.com/opinion/the-ta…

100% Vir, as always - you have your heart in the right place. Not that I can say the same of many TV anchors. Was on a channel a few days ago ago & the famed anchor only wanted to talk about Turkish engineering, Campbell to resign & sabotage of aircraft - at a time when our

“There are hundreds of Air India employees who have not had the time or opportunity to properly mourn their colleagues because they have got back into planes so that you and I can travel safely. Let’s give them the respect they deserve’” writes vir sanghvi hindustantimes.com/opinion/the-ta…

Mainstream media really needs to worry about its plummeting credibility (if it’s not already hit rock bottom). The circus on television is sickening, infuriating and embarrassing in equal measure and coverage of the last few weeks seems to have rung the death knell of television

“There are 100s of Air India employees who have not had the time or opportunity to properly mourn their colleagues because they have got back into planes so that you and I can travel safely. Let’s give them the respect they deserve”. vir sanghvi The least we can do at this time!

Can we all show some sensitivity and not jump to conclusions without evidence ? Can we all wait for CVR and DFDR reports before calling this a" Human Error" ? And finally Can we all be a little empathetic about the current situation ? Thank you vir sanghvi for standing up 🙏. Lot

Amid the chaos surrounding the AI crash investigation, anchors, journalists, and the public are irresponsibly speculating without any aviation expertise. Instead of fueling misinformation, they should exercise restraint and allow the qualified technical investigation to unfold.

Brilliant take by Vir Sangvi, as usual on the AI171 crash. Fortunately, he's one of the rage gems in Indian Media who's not a blood thirsty ghoul. No point blaming human error without adequate information

Had absolutely on-time flights in & out of the country on Air India in the last 10 days, including one just day before yesterday. Ground handling & staff were courteous & helpful. No deviation. Let all hold their horses till the final report about the ill-fated AI 171 is out

Entirely agree with sentiments expressed vir sanghvi . So easy to hang professionals who're no more. Channels showed no respect for devastated, grieving families. Not allowed D space to try n digest tragedy. No point intruding n then saying "Sorry.. I'm sorry." Was distressing.

vir sanghvi Excellent article. All this media circus was completely avoidable but for our media folks everything is a TRP war which they want to win like crazy ! Also it's a drastic fall for Boeing, it was once said "If it ain't Boeing I ain't going" but today they are totally exposed !!

Several people ask why I don’t advocate for #cancer treatment. I’m uncomfortable advocating for something most people can’t afford. Do read my interview with ⁦Ullekh NP/ഉല്ലേഖ് എൻപി⁩ where I address many points @SwissMedicalNetwork m.economictimes.com/industry/healt…
