In rural Marshall Islands, families rely on a single breadfruit tree. When it fails to ripen, parents struggle to feed their children, and hunger becomes a daily battle. #ClimateChange is ruining the weather needed to grow food.

This has to be one the best moments during the oral hearings for the #ClimateICJAO last December. Ambassador Tito, you are such a huge inspiration! 🙌

What does climate justice mean to you? We asked the various activists and politicians who gathered in the Hague, the Netherlands, in December 2024 for the #ClimateICJAO. This is what they said 🌏⚖️ #ClimateJusticeAtTheICJ

On this day we remember Cat 5 TC Winston which tore through Fiji exactly 9 years ago as the strongest cyclone in Fiji and the Southern Hemisphere. Tragically, 44 lives were lost, 133k people made homeless, 62% of Fiji’s population impacted and F$2billion in damages.

Dear Judges of the International Court of Justice, We have the right to a healthy environment. Yet, this right is being violated as the system continues to fail us. We rely on international laws to protect us, but what good are they if they are not upheld?

Dear Judges of the #ICJ, in the Gitxsan Nation, increasing temperatures in waterways are disrupting the life cycles of salmon. The food security of the communities dependent on those rivers & streams is left threatened, & practice of indigenous stewardship of the land, disrupted.

A historic day at the International Court of Justice, as they issue a major opinion on the climate crisis. It could lead to high-emitting countries being forced to take action, and I spoke with Vanuatu’s climate change minister Ralph Regenvanu about the significance of this moment.
