Apprentice Laureate Maria Romero has joined Valley of the Moon for a week of collaborations with Sonoma State University Music Department and Valley Vibes Orchestra in Sonoma. Day 1: Lesson with 14-year-old violinist Chili Ekman, playing on gut strings for the very first time!

Another great day with Valley of the Moon Apprentice Laureate Maria Romero coaching the Valley Vibes Orchestra, a Sonoma-based youth orchestra inspired by the El Sistema program. Her education in the original El Sistema in Venezuela made her a very special guest for this local program.
