May he rest in peace. Pope Francis visited Myanmar and Bangladesh during the 2017 Rohingya genocide, spoke up for their rights. After the coup, he condemned injustices and called for peace and dignity for those suffering. His voice brought hope to many in Myanmar and beyond.
