Florida high school + college students: @walkoutolearn is organizing walkouts + rallies at campuses across FL to tell state leaders that they can't erase Black, queer, & trans history on Friday, April 21st. This is the beginning of a movement. Join us: walkout2learn.org

Proud to join #WalkOut2Learn in opposition to the FL GOP’s dangerous policies moving through the legislature. As the state Legislature attempts to roll back the rights and civil liberties of our young people, we will fight back!

Beyond the walkouts, students will check their voter registration and hear a five-minute banned history lesson from a student peer. They'll also have the opportunity to sign up for a virtual introductory-level African American studies course, WALKOUT 2 LEARN told me.

"It’s a short- and long-term strategy that allows survival and then, hopefully, a chance at reclaiming our state," WALKOUT 2 LEARN's 19-year-old founder and executive director, zander moricz, said about the multi-pronged day of action in Florida.
