The Police Reforms Working Group - Kenya and Civic Freedoms Forum - CFF are deeply shocked and saddened by the recent discovery of dismembered bodies in Kware area. This is a stark reminder of the urgent need to address and further publicize human rights violations and ensure the safety and security of all citizens.

Spent day at morgue and can confirm identification and postmortem of bodies has commenced. Also coordinated with Mukuru Community Justice Centre and local boys to receive 2 more bodies at the morgue. Local boys said they've never seen the suspected killer presented by DCI KENYA in their locality.

1/2 Forensic investigators, pathologists and staff from IMLU HAKI Africa Shield for Justice and Amnesty Kenya spent the day observing the post mortem of the Kware bodies.

2/2 Thirteen Kware sacks containing body parts have been delivered to City Mortuary. Two new sacks were delivered today. Autopsy has been conducted on two sacks. DNA is being reconciled to establish how many bodies are now lying at the mortuary and the cause of their deaths

We, the PRWG and IMLU Amnesty Kenya HAKI Africa, Shield for Justice, Mt Kenya Defenders spent a long day standing in solidarity with families of victims & a multi stakeholder team conducting postmortems at City Mortuary. Extremely tough day in pursuit of justice & closure.
