Big day for Gilsar-Khushalsar! Today, Watermaster by J&K LCMA has started the work, a much-needed step for conservation of these twin urban lakes. So much more to do: solid waste removal, demarcation, dredging... but this is a start! Let's hope LC&MA keeps this a sustained affair.

Delighted to Share that Spring#12 in Khimber, inaugurated on Wordl Environment Day 2025 by Hon'ble Div Com Kashmir in presence of Chief Conservator Forests is now rejuvinated. Thanks to NLCO volunteers, it now supports both the locals & nearby vegitation.

Kudos to J&K LCMA for resuming dredging at Khushalsar, a vital step forward! A pontoon must aasist the Watermaster, and muck disposal should be swift & scientific to avoid nuisance. Let’s hope revivival of this lake to its ecological & cultural glory.
