For the month of May, The Capitol has partnered with On The Move Art Studio to display work created by incarcerated youth at the Warren Regional Juvenile Detention Center and the Fayette Regional JDC. You can check out their work during our normal hours of operation.

We love it when royalty pops in to the library for a quick visit! Rapunzel from Parties with a Princess dropped by the Lisa Rice Library to spread a little fairy tale magic Friday!

Despite the weather, the library's Locally Made market was a hit, with ~600 in attendance. Many thanks to all who participated! We will also host Summer Reading Markets Saturdays in June & July (10 a.m. - 2 p.m.) at SOKY Center (formerly SoKY Marketplace). Plan now to visit!

Librarians definitely get a kick out of promoting books and reading -- and occasionally they enjoy getting to pull one over on a co-worker!  It's ALWAYS a good time at WCPL!

In just two days, Thursday, May 8, join the BG Horror Club at the Capitol for a free screening of Edgar Wright's incredible zombie comedy starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost! The screening is free, rated R, and will begin at 7 p.m.
