I’m about 18 in this picture. My dad (pictured behind me to my right in the yellowish shirt) and many of his friends would gather at Druid Hill Park on Sundays in the summer season and play congas for HOURS. He managed to get me out there a few times and this is one of them.

Here’s 30 seconds of some old school ragtime music. This is called “Mallets a la Zurke” by Harry Breuer. I don’t play four mallets too often but it’s fun to do. And for those who don’t know, this is NOT a vibraphone. This is a marimba. It’s bigger and a lot more expensive!!!!
