Best mug of tea ever. Me and my 2ic Bhim Gurung on Mt William 14 June’82 having crossed over from Tumbledown. My last working mortar back at Goat Ridge with Sgt Parsuram Limbu (also with a brew!) running the Comd Post. Soft ground was awful for mortar recoil.

#1982 Falklands. Keeping a tally. Now that we are the end of the offensive part of Op Corporate, I am about to start an offensive on the poor depiction and inaccurate narrative of the war. Museums and others are getting it wrong. DMs open should you need it.

Following on from this. I am interested in the written record of war. Not just official records but also memoirs & books, some of which used archives & many of which haven't. All can contain errors, ommissions & oversights. More will follow.

#1982 Falkland War: Official Records. Softening the blow. According to Sir Alex Allen's review of records published in 2014, only between 2 & 5% of government records are selected for preservation in any given year. This means that not all Op Corporate records survive. 1/2
