Michael was on a panel at today’s event about learning disabilities and autism at UoM Nursing Society LD exposure - with a guest appearance by his mum Maureen! He was telling the students all about hospital passports and what is important to him when using health services PeopleFirst Tameside



Daniel and Shirley went to in a workshop about the Growing Older Planning Ahead findings this morning. We’ve been part of this research since the start. Members of GM GOLD from Manchester, Oldham, Trafford, Bolton and Bury had a great time at the NW Regional Forum in Blackpool. It was good to catch up with so many people in person but we missed those who couldn’t be there this year 😢Thank you for organising the Forum Lynn James-Jenkinson

We are holding an exhibition at River Beal Café and Community Hub in March to celebrate the lives of older people with learning disabilities aged over 50 and living in Greater Manchester as part of Ageism Action Day. We are looking for photos, artworks and recordings. Please send us entries by 11 March


We were modelling our freebies at our 2nd Winter Wander with The Friends For Life Group today. Our beanie hats & snoods helped us keep warm.
