Good morning everyone. Happy happy Friday .. the bank holiday weekend is almost here. Some mistiness in places this morning otherwise it's a day for the sun cream and it'll be hotter in many places than yesterday

The highest temperatures are shifting further west today and over the next couple of days. Tomorrow will probably see the peak of the heatwave. It is likely to be the hottest 12th July in 12 years ... maybe more

For anyone out spectating or marching please be aware of the symptoms of heatstroke especially for the very young and older people and wear some suncream. Take plenty of breaks,drink plenty of water, stay safe, stay well, have fun.

Heatwave conditions should continue through to Sunday before fresher air moves in for Monday. More unsettled weather is likely by mid week.

It's shaping up to be an absolute scorcher tomorrow, possibly the hottest 12th July in at least 12 years. Don't forget the sun cream, pollen levels will be high too and pollution levels are forecast to rise this weekend.
