I don’t think people realize how much strength it takes to pull one’s self out of a mentally dark place. So if you’ve done that today or any day, I am proud of you. Bri

I’m ridiculous. In less than a day I’ve shelved one project I’ve been intent on sending out all year, revisited and reshelved another project I started work on in 2022 and now picked back up another I started in 2023 with the intent of getting it polished and sent out in 2 weeks.

put something my little brother said to me in a poem and then he called to read me his poems and asked me to read him this one and I did and I think I sent him into a spiral and he hung up to go write LMAO

Too hot to work in the yard? That’s ok I’ll completely flip a room indoors on its head and reinvent the layout and cause chaos in three additional rooms as well. My wife will be happy when I can go outside again and leave. things. alone.

I love how reading something random will sometimes prompt me to write a poem. Today it was an article on the Dover Sun House engineered biophysicist Maria Telkes. It used salt-based phase-change materials to absorb and store solar heat year round. Interesting stuff.
