As a child I was always aware of the troubles in Ireland but did not know much. I’m sure there is a lot to learn but the latest podcast on BBC Sounds about Freddie Scappaticci is brilliant - and sad - and awful. Well worth a listen.

Do secondary schools teach GCSE English/Welsh Literature as an option subject or is it forced as part of Englsh/Welsh Language lessons? My Son has no interest in quotes from literature that are forced on him - never to be used again. He can read! Isn’t that enough?
