Our new JAMA paper is out today. Medical debt: 1-Now exceeds all other debt in collections combined 2-Most concentrated in low-income communities and in South. 3-Disparities worsened in 12 holdout states that didn't expand Medicaid. See Neale's great summary of our findings.

COVID precautions have caused a 65 cargo ship backlog off the SoCal coast, waiting to dock at SanPedro. CA's full vax rate: 58%. Imagine production delays/human toll in manufacturing countries w/ vax rates <30%. Prices/wait times won't fall until workers everywhere are vaxed.
