Congrats to LSU Baseball on winning a national title! Here’s what their strength coach sent me in regards to their in-season training protocols on April 30th. 2 or 3 training days a week in season. Non-negotiable. Either train or fall behind. You choose…..

A1) more often than not, I’m the only coach in the room. My head football coach is almost always there and tests and records our Broads and Verts. ATs help correct form on things if they are there. #ironspeedchat

A2) try new things that are out of my “comfort zone”. Lead the kids with excitement into something new. As they perform it, take a step back and see how it looks, functions, etc #ironspeedchat

A3) sometimes I can tell my energy is very 📈📉 group to group depending on the day. I need to be more excited across the board for sports that I didn’t play. Those kids work their asses off too #ironspeedchat

A4) “I have to go train at my personal trainer later today, can I go lighter” “I just came from the gym and totally crushed legs for a huge pump, I didn’t know we squat today like we have for the last 20 weeks” #ironspeedchat

A5) watching kids figure out how to strain, how to push themselves to new levels, when they hit a huge goal, when they know they can come talk to us and ask questions about anything and we give a caring response. Relationships > Results #ironspeedchat
