Great Mullein Verbascum thapsus Coinnle Muire A native species, can grow quite tall generally flowering from June to August. Its attractive flowers are yellow & its leaves are covered in hairs. #WildflowerHour

Farm gateways are a good place to look for Annual Knawel and this was a real hotspot last year - glad to find it thriving here again this week #WildflowerHour

Had been looking out for the re-emergence of Soapwort flowers and it was worth the wait. They have such beautiful pale pink petals and look so elegant! #WildflowerHour

Possibly our botanical highlight of the week was this absolutely splendid clump of Meadow Buttercups - not so much cups, more like thick buttery lasagnes! Never found such extraordinary specimens before 🤩 #WildflowerHour
