PRODUCE UPDATE: Great looking Pak Choi available - a superb option for retail as well as hospitality.

FOCUS ON RED: We have red onion on new season Egyptian and these are lovely when you cut into them. Bunched beetroot replaces the old season cold stored and are not graded so, whilst some are smaller than others, they are absolutely beautiful.

PRODUCE UPDATE: Some terrific produce currently coming in. New season French leeks stunning as is today's broccoli. Water melons looking good too with Cos lettuce fresh and crispy. Other highlights include Iceberg and the first of the Spanish Galia melon looking lovely too.

Some exceptional quality produce heading north. The season is definitely changing! Bring on summer… iceberg quality today is fantastic! We are now bringing these in direct fresh from the grower. Cut packed and into Glasgow within 24 hours, then straight up to our HQ in Inverness

PRODUCE UPDATE: The first harvest of UK summer cauliflower is now in. Very nice snow white colour. Lovely!

PRODUCE UPDATE: Neil, our produce buyer in Glasgow has sent some great pictures of what he is seeing in the market during the night while we all sleep!

PRODUCE UPDATE: The first of the UK broccoli is excellent quality as well as New Zealand Pink Lady apples. Royal Gala apples are full of colour too. Large cherries are simply a "Wow" says Neil our produce buyer. These pictures (and those in yesterdays post) speak from themselves.

PRODUCE UPDATE: Gooseberries, raspberries and blueberries all now grown and supplied from the UK. Dutch blackberries are huge and looking fantastic! Lancashire Kale and Cavolo Nero superb quality - ideal for catering and retail customers alike. New season Savoy Cabbage great too!

PRODUCE UPDATE: We have now moved on to outdoor grown UK rhubarb. Very nice, deep red in colour. Beautiful! #rhubarb

PRODUCE UPDATE: UK baby carrots now available; Tumeric in a handy 100g pack - ideal for retail customers; imported Girolle mushrooms available too as a special order if there is any interest. Other baby veg looking and tasting great too.

New season UK Red cabbage are very nice. These still have the protective outer leaves on them. Baxter's savoy is getting better by the day - lovely, fresh crisp feel. Iceberg also stunning. Like the cabbage they are picked, packed and delivered within 24 hours to Inverness

PRODUCE UPDATE: Today's mushrooms are looking lovely! They arrived with Neil our produce buyer at our Glasgow hub at 2am this morning and were on their way 4 hours later to Inverness having been kept carefully refrigerated all the while.
