What a day at the Royal Highland Show

Pakistan Consulate Glasgow in collaboration with the Muslim Council of Scotland & Cross-Party Group on Pakistan, co-hosted an Eid-ul-Adha reception at the Scottish Parliament. FM John Swinney, Ministers, MSPs & community leaders joined the inclusive gathering.

FM Swinney praised Muslim contributions to 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 & addressed global issues, expressing sorrow over Gaza, calling for a two-state solution, & urging de-escalation in Iran. The event highlighted shared values, spotlighted issues like Kashmir & Islamophobia, and strengthened ties.

I met with fishermen in Pittenweem yesterday to discuss the health of creel fishing in the Forth. There are concerns that some fisherman have too many creels which is damaging the health of the crab and lobster stocks.
