Show any seasoned academic scientist a figure without error bars, and they’ll often say something about needing to always show error bars (and this is usually what we teach students). Ask the same academic what the different error bars tell you, and they simply will not know.

For undergraduate theses, let's normalise NOT including a "strengths and limitations" section. This is almost never done well, and the things students feel forced to include are usually completely irrelevant.
