🌟Our next project is calling on all Australian Paramedics. This study is by our Honours student Kat who is looking at fatigue in different night shift structures. These surveys are quick and straight forward and an important step in this area Paramedicine Monash University monash.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_et…

Amazing presentation by Rachael Harris at her first #SDU2022 conference. Rachael’s findings suggest current break regulations may be insufficient for Aust truck drivers to obtain recommended sleep duration between consecutive shifts. Great PhD opportunities to work with Tracey Sletten & Prerna Varma, PhD at MonashSleepLab ! Wonderful group doing cutting edge research targeting sleep health in #shiftworkers

So proud of Rachael Harris for her excellent systematic review and meta-analysis examining sleep and health in new workers starting shift work. Such an awesome effort on this important piece of work. It was great to also work with Eleni Kavaliotis and Sean Drummond on this review.

Excited to share our study that found poor sleep & fatigue are pre-trauma risk factors for mental health in police. Grateful to Karin Roelofs for the opportunity to collab. Great to work w/ Reinoud Kaldewaij Floris Klumpers Saskia B.J. Koch Annika Smit Sean Drummond authors.elsevier.com/a/1j1dgbZg7P%7…

Great to have the opportunity to present on the link between insomnia in the initial months of work and the later development of PTSD in recruit paramedics as part of the Sleep Research Society Trainee Data Blitz at #SLEEP2024 American Academy of Sleep Medicine in Houston, TX.

The brilliant Rachael Harris presenting on “Transitioning to shift work in paramedics” #SLEEP2024

Had a great time presenting at #SLEEP2024. Presented alongside Alex Wolkow , Meagan Crowther , Dr Philip Cheng and Dr Heidi Lammers-van Der Holst on the important topic of transitioning to shift work.

Honoured to be opening (and chairing with Rachael Harris )one of the #hottopic oral presentation sessions on the last day of #SLEEP24 👩🏫
