The Council has today joined in the occasion to launch the #16daysofactivism2022 against Gender Based Violence at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala. The Minister for Gender, Labour and Social Development Hon Betty Amongi presided over the event. Work starts now to make impact.


It was a great International Day for Persons with Disabilities in Kole district today. H.E Vice President Jessica Alupo represented H.E Yoweri K Museveni . Many thanks to Hon. Hon Betty Amongi and Hon. Asamo for leading preparations of such a colourful event. Kole DLG also made us proud.


We teamed up with our National Vice Chairperson who also doubles as the Woman MP Lira Auma Linda Agnes to conduct entrepreneurship training for members of Women's Council SACCOs in Erute South and North constituencies. The economic empowerment of women is a key to national devt


We join the rest of the world in observing the International Day of Zero Tolerance for FGM. The national celebrations will however be held on Wednesday, 8th Feb at Sheraton Hotel, Kampala.
