Today, we had the privilege of hosting the fantastically talented author ClareHelenWelsh and the equally talented illustrator Fiona Lumbers as they launched the incredible ‘The Space Between’. Our children were enthralled from start to finish.

Year 6 had ‘worry whales’ given to them today to help them with any worries and anxiety heading into SATs and transition. They absolutely loved them.

With Ramadan beginning this evening, we have featured more books across our reading spaces that delve into this fascinating month, which is an important part of billions of people’s lives.

On Monday, the Plymouth SLS visited our Nursery to share a wide selection of books across all age groups. They also gave the children their own Bookstart boxes to take home and keep. This was a wonderful start to the week of World Book Day! Julia Hale

Thank you Lucy Noguera ! The bookmarks, poster and postcard all came today. These will go into our refurbished library Woodfield Primary and capture the children’s imagination.

Across school, we have been embracing floor books for many of our foundation subjects, such as this example of DT in Year 6. We love sharing the learning journey with the class as the year progresses.

Yesterday, Year 6 used their prior learning to put maths into context, baking cupcakes as part of White Rose Education bakery project. Our values of cooperation, perseverance and aspiration were on display throughout the session.

What a fantastic enrichment week so far for Y6. We’ve completed martial arts MattFiddesSouthDevon , disc golf, lacrosse, kwik kricket and archery, plus we took part in a fabulous 80s festival at Woodlands school today. Tomorrow Is bell boating!
