Scaly-sided mergansers are an endangered species of diving ducks that are very rare in zoos and in the wilds of E. Asia. Woodland Park Zoo is home to 9 of them, including 2 ducklings that hatched this spring to parents Sam & Veronica. They live in our Temperate Wetlands habitat.
