Part Six: I have read some very old stories in the Times about noises that were described as, "A huge swarm of bees". If you the researcher can establish a good historical case for the existence of the World Hum, then I would glady publish your research broadly. (continued).

Part Seven: Do familiarize yourself with the topic. Take a good look at numerous individual data points from the World Hum Map (thehum.info) to understand how the Hum is experienced by the very large numbers of people who do experience it. #worldhum

Part Eight: Write to me at [email protected] if you think you have a research product you'd like me to evaluate and possibly publish. #worldhum #hummap #drglenmacpherson

In my eight-part post, I am calling for volunteer digital historical researchers to help answer a big question about the World Hum: when did it start? Please read all eight parts before emarking on the research. thehum.info #worldhum #hummap #drglenmacpherson

Nobody has taken up my assignment. You could be the person who helps unlock the mystery of the World Hum. The task requires no university education or technical skills. There is no cost. You just need to be clever and sharp-eyed as you traverse the historical newspaper archives.

Recently in my home town there was a FB post soliciting funds for buying ghost hunting equipment. When I asked precisely what equipment, I was told that I wouldn't understand. Sigh. #worldhum #hummap #drglenmacpherson

Nobody has stepped up and delivered anything at the academic standard I need. Please see my eight-part post below on volunteer research. If your work meets the standard, I'll publish it to a big internet audience.

Well there's no more dawdling over it. I am going to deploy AI to look at the entire database (including filtered data points), to find patterns I might have missed. #worldhum #drglenmacpherson

The Hum Map has been updated with 800+ new map points. Next, ChatGTP4o will be begin analyzing the Hum Map for patterns, and patterns within patterns. thehum.info

And the analyses are starting to pour in. It is confirmed that fully ambidextrous people are over-represented in the data by a factor of 7.

And it is also confirmed that those with a personal or family history of ADHD and/or Autism are over-represented amongst Hum Hearers.

I am now convinced that there is enough strictly-filtered self-reported data to start finding out if the answers to the World Hum are found within. ChatGPT4o has already confirmed some of my initial statistics. thehum.info

From the analysis: Contrary to widely-held beliefs, there is no such thing as a "Hum Hot Spot". Go read the actual histories of places like Taos, Kokomo, and Hueytown. And especially look at Windsor, which had absolutely nothing to do with the World Hum. thehum.info

Henrik wrote an outstanding guide - in basic language - for determining if you are hearing the Hum, and for tracking down nuisance environmental noises. thehum.info

Greetings, folks. Gosh it's hard for an amateur scientist to compete with all the politics and anger. I'm calling out to all amateur ChatGPT4o or other LLM users who might analyze our database, looking for patterns. Download at thehum.info.

A very rare non-Hum related post: I'm looking for some volunteer copy editors or people who have written a Masters Thesis to go over some articles submitted by junior researchers for the journal Neuronotebook.org, where I am Editor in Chief.

I'm being quoted across UK press that I'm pointing the figure at Russian nuclear submarines as the source of the Hum. I rejected that theory years ago after physical experiments ruled it out. thehum.info
