Fab day birding at Black hole Marsh, East Devon with Karen Karen Jayne female Black- winged Stilt showed well and great to see all the Sand Martins using the nest bank too with no disturbance or interference from anyone. 8 Whimbrel on the Axe river.

Breeding bird survey today RSPB Ham Wall with Karen Karen Jayne plenty of wildfowl with young, Bittern in flight, Marsh Harriers busy, 3 Redshank very vocal, 5 Hobbys, lots of GWE, 18+ Black-t Godwits, 2 Lapwing & 1 White Stork overhead. All in all 52 species seen.

Birding this morning RSPB Ham Wall with Karen Karen Jayne before it got too hot, great birds seen. Juv M Harriers, Red Kite, 2 Redshank 1 juv, 6 Reed Warblers, 7 Blackcaps, 6 Swifts, 10 Swallows, GC Grebe juvs, 315 Gadwall on waltons, Stock Dove and juv Green Woodpecker.
