Just weaned myself from pain meds after hip surgery. Started reading the news, tempted to go back on pain meds.

Hub used to butt heads w/ a judge's clerk. One day judge took hub aside & gently said, "Good idea to try & get along with her because you don't want to be in Contempt of Clerk." 😂 Hub apologized to clerk & they got along swimmingly after that. #PILife #QueensofCourt

Received get-well gift (hip surgery) from lawyer-client. Very kind & unexpected. Only other time I received gift from a lawyer, it was a book of love poems by Leonard Cohen. Just goes to show, criminal lawyers have hearts. That, or they want me to get back to work asap :)
