The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald coming on AS SOON AS I cross the border into da Yoop might be the most important thing that happens to me today

5/25 - The closest bolt I’ve been able to capture on camera. Right place at the right time with the right camera settings and gear. Feeling lucky and charged up ⚡️ Haskell, Texas. #txwx #weather #weatherchannel #nikon #miops

Thought for sure that a tube was going to plant in front of Ryan Scholl and I back in Nebraska last week. This storm tried so many times but simply couldn't do the deed. #NEwx

Ingestion of streamwise vorticity was easily visualized by this feeder band extending along the forward flank convergence boundary and into the rotating wall cloud last week in eastern Nebraska. Nice RFD cut here too. #NEwx

The incredible Haskell, Texas supercell from last Sunday. Watching this storm build its low level mesocyclone in minutes was a sight to behold

A gnarly supercell, loading with lightning, looms over Palisade, Nebraska a couple weeks ago. This storm had the strongest inflow I've ever felt and at this time, the 1000yd EF2 "Hays County Tornado" is ongoing. #NEwx

One of the proudest photos I captured this year... have always struggled with sprite photography and finally, on a warm May night in TX, I got the clear, crisp, naked-eye visible sprite I've been looking ages for... Hoping for more sky lights of all kinds this week! #txwx

Reached the top of the smoke/haze layer blanketing much of the US. Thick smoke was evident from the surface to 16,500 feet. #ndwx #smoke
