Shower chances continue today, especially for W/SW parts of NTX where a Flood Watch is in place. Highs again stay in the 80s for most, with the low 90s likely out east. Unsettled weather brings low rain/storm chances through midweek, as we stay in the low 90s.

6:20am- Flood Advisories are now in place for parts of Johnson, Somervell, and Bosque counties where upwards of 2 inches of rain have fallen over the past hour. Be mindful of flooded roads this morning!

8am- Showers and rumbles continue across western and SW parts of NTX this morning. Heavy rain and lightning will be the greatest threats.

9am- Slow-moving showers and storms continue across W/SW parts of NTX this morning. Pockets of heavy rain and lightning continue to be the greatest threats.

9:35am- A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for northern Bosque, NW Hill, SW Johnson, and Somervell counties until 11:30 am. Heavy rain continues to fall on areas that have already received 2-4 inches of rain. Do not drive through flooded roadways!

10:30am- A Flash Flood Warning is now in effect for NW Johnson county and SW Tarrant county until 1:30 pm. Rainfall rates are between 1-2 inches an hour. Anywhere between 1-3 inches of rain have already fallen.

11:15am- The heaviest rain axis has shifted into central/southern Wise county and eastern Parker county. Do not drive into flooded roads!

Another hot one today! Highs climb into the mid-upper 90s, with an added heat index topping the triple digit mark. Unsettled weather returns this weekend, with rain and storm chances increasing. Just keep an eye on radar for outdoor, afternoon plans.

We're back in the mid-90s today under partly to mostly sunny skies. An added heat index of 100° plus a breeze out of the SSW can be expected! Shower chances are minimal today, less than 10%, for areas well east. Rain/storm chances return this weekend!

We made it to the weekend! Today is just a "typical" July day, as we climb into the mid-90s. The heat index will hover around 99-100°. Shower chances are minimal and only for areas well S/SE. Tomorrow will be a little more humid, with the heat index likely over 100°!

Hot, humid, and repeat! Back to the mid-upper 90s tomorrow with an added heat index of about 102°. Yuck. High pressure strengthens to the east as we head into the work week, which means onwards and upwards! Temps approach the dreaded century mark by midweek. It'll be close!
