Earlier today representatives from WFH attended a presentation of The Mayor's Shield to one of our founders, Bob Kin. The shield was presented by Councillor Andrea Baughan to Bob's widow in thanks and recognition of all the work Bob did for the community.

Did you know we offer food vouchers? If you would like to support a family this Christmas pop into the hub and purchase a £3 food voucher. The recipient can exchange the voucher for a full basket of food of their choice, worth approximately £30.

Today's shout-out is to Co-op, who have raised a magnificent £2941.83 for Wycombe Food Hub. Trevor Snaith, WFH Chairman, attended the meeting in Princes Risborough yesterday to receive the cheque. The Co-Op has raised over £117m, helping 7m people across the UK since 2016.

In an effort to reduce waste, shoppers who visit us will soon no longer be able to pick up a plastic bag in the store. From 1st December we encourage customers to bring their own bags to save plastic waste or use one of our reusable cotton bags.

We are incredibly grateful to have been awarded a 3-year grant from the Rothschild Foundation. This funding will allow us to move forward with our business plan and support the increasing costs of running our core operation in the High Wycombe town center.

From 12 noon until 2pm tomorrow, Wycombe Food Hub will serve takeaway hot vegan meals for £1:50 per portion. In an effort to further reduce food waste, the meals will be prepared by Khepera CIC using food that might otherwise have gone to waste.
