What’s hilarious is that this analysis hugely underrates Quinten Grimes, who not only is scalable as hell and provides additive impact next to a/multiple star-level players but also is an awesome defender. Whoever snags Grimes will likely be getting him at a very large premium.

It was a small sample size, but Jay Huff showcased unique upside in two areas the Pacers very clearly value at Center (rim protection and spacing). Very intelligent flier taken by them. I hope he starts.

Norman Powell has been very very good at offense for a surprisingly long time now. 7 straight seasons shooting 39.7% or better from 3, always on above average volume. 5 seasons in the 79th percentile or better in oEPM. Getting him essentially for free is pretty sweet for Miami.

Already an extremely additive, All-Star level player, I’m not sure folks realize just how much improvement is available to Chet Holmgren. What we’ve seen thus far (95th percentile EPM/92nd percentile LEBRON in 2024-2025) could be his floor impact. He’s a perfect fit next to SGA.

Just because the peak version of a player may be better in a vacuum doesn’t necessarily make them a better player in any given situation. Assuming health, will the things that make Bradley Beal>Norman Powell translate between Harden+Kawhi like Powell’s elite off-ball impact did?

Being appalled at a “Rudy Gobert-level defender” with All-Star level offensive impact/primacy being considered an all-time player is just telling on yourself.
