Glad that our paper is accepted for publication in Journal of Remote Sensing (JCR-Q1), congratulations to my students Kedi & Chunyan. It is an interesting study, exploring the link between satellite productivity and species richness at global scale, I hope it will be online soon.

📢New lab paper! United Nations set 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), while reporting progress of each indicator is challenging. Here we developed a workflow to monitor SDG15.1.2 (biodiversity protection) for effective reporting! Check it out!tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…

📢New lab paper: How to summarise satellite observations into scalable, and conservation-relevant information? We can either retrieve 'biodiversity' from satellite data, or we can let satellite data be itself. Here we tried the 2nd approach. Journal of Remote Sensing spj.science.org/doi/10.34133/r…

This is very nice opportunity to get together GEO land and other application community. We have online option, too. Feel free to register and present your works!

Our latest paper is out in RSE 🛰️ sciencedirect.com/science/articl… We show how the Himawari geostationary satellite can track diurnal GPP by accounting for the diffuse fraction and the nonlinear light–photosynthesis response.

💧⚠️Groundwater loss = ecosystem crisis —but where? Our new paper combines Landsat + GRACE data to track them at high res. Key finding: GDE loss accelerates where water tables drop. Time to act! #WaterSecurity #Dryland #Sustainability doi.org/10.1080/175389…

I participated the 3rd GEO workshop in Singapore with my student Chunyan, we had a presentation and a poster to introduce the R&D progress of FY4 GEO satellites! We were also lucky to watch the fireworks to celebrate the #SG60 (60th years of the Singapore's independence)🇸🇬.
