MegaETH’s sequencer will soon have hot backups that can be rotated to within tens of milliseconds should the primary sequencer go down. It will boost system reliability and enable downtime-free upgrades. Implementing hot backups for the sequencer is actually quite similar to

It’s been a great pleasure working with the RedStone team! Pumping hundreds of price updates per second was unthinkable but is now a reality!

About 3 years ago, we published a short paper dl.acm.org/doi/pdf/10.114… called Coded Broadcast. It examined the network bottleneck in block propagation at leader nodes and provided a solution based on coding. Could not predict that the idea would be used in a blockchain someday!

See you during SBC! (I have been an audience in David's workshop since the first installment. Cannot feel more honored to present there!)

This week’s upgrade to the MegaETH testnet fixed an elusive performance bug that had caused miniblock time to continuously increase between sequencer reboots. Here’s the story. It’s a story about our philosophy – measure, then build. If one visited MegaETH’s performance

Truly great systems provide easy-to-use abstractions for end users while retaining all the power of the underlying mechanisms. Cloud abstracts operating systems and networks into a giant computer. Crypto abstracts distributed algorithms and game theory into a benevolent

Pup had to travel 42hr just to get to us, and was delayed. So we drove 3hr in the middle of the night to shave the last 10hr off. Welcome home River!

There is a weekly engineering meeting between GTE and MegaETH. We discuss everything from new RPC methods (paginated reads anyone?) to how spams should be regarded on the fastest blockchain. I am constantly reminded how talented, ambitious, and pragmatic the team is. It’s been

Glad this post called out Solana shreds (15ms) as the comparative to Mega's 10ms blocks. Somehow, we always end up in this loop: ▸ EVM bro flexes strict block times across chains ▸ Mert comes in over the top and dunks b/c shreds exist Solana ends up on top. Ethereum looks

Chain builders should focus on maximizing c. App designers should focus on building more efficient markets with proper auctions, so that one does not rely on mechanisms as primitive as spam competitions to decide who takes how much MEV.

@bertcmiller ⚡️🤖 BREAD | ∑: Dan Smith matze | growthepie 🥧📏 On point 2 – if fees paid by spammers can cover the aforementioned CPU, network, etc. costs, are they really harmful? I do agree that the chain capacity c should be set such that the cost to process c is lower than the total MEV m. If not, the chain operator cannot break even.
